Jarno Soinila, M.Sc. (Naval Architect), age 44, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sihy Oy on July 2, 2018. In the same context, Soinila became a partner and a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Soinila has previously worked as Executive Board Member, Design & Engineering at Meyer Turku Oy. In his career he has also worked as Sales Director at Lautex Oy, Manager Business Administration at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, and in a variety of positions in the marine industry at Aker Finnyards Oy. The appointment strengthens the company’s leadership and brings the company expertise in the international marine and project business.
During the last two years, the company has made significant investments in digitalization and production automation. The innovative PipeCloud system developed in-house enables the use of serial production methods in the production of individual pipe spools. In addition to streamlining production, the company can serve its industrial customers better when data is transferred electronically from customer product design to the production machines.
